Our mission is to contribute different points of view to education and to financially support URKIDE Innovation’s pedagogical research work.
In addition to the centre’s staff,
the companies that form part of the board of trustees are:
SPC. Its business areas cover consumer electronics and multimedia. It is the only provider in Spain and Portugal of all telecommunications operators with fixed network telephones, VOIP and Mobile.
Gastronomía Cantábrica (GASCA), founded in 1978, is a benchmark in the segment of collective catering companies in the Basque Country.
Autobuses Alegría is a company from Vitoria, leader in its sector, with more than 50 years of experience that guarantees the highest quality in each service.
They have a modern fleet of buses and highly qualified staff.
Inika is an organisation from Gipuzkoa with a national scope, which has a comprehensive management and learning system in the cloud, adaptable to Primary Education, Pre-school, Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, Vocational Training, Adult Education, Language Academies and Music Schools.
Doitu Ofimatika, S.L. was founded in Vitoria-Gasteiz, in 2007, with the aim of managing all printing services in a fast, efficient and, above all, close way. Specifically, maintenance (preventive and corrective), repair, sale and rental of office automation and professional digital printing products (photocopiers, multifunction equipment and printers, both small and large production).
AZETEK ASESORÍA DE SEGUROS S.L. is an insurance brokerage that works in the mediation between the client and the insurance companies with a multidisciplinary staff, made up of six people who are in charge of the different departments: sales, accounting and claims.
TAK TIK ARQ is a company devoted to construction and architecture services, but if you let us be more informal, TAK TIK ARQ is Pablo and Bernardo. Madness and sanity. Game and strategy. Creativity and tactics. The freehand and the technical drawing. The eye and the level. The floral shirt and the striped shirt. We are passionate about good architecture. We are obsessed with good finishes.
Throughout its first 10 years, URKIDE Foundation has financed many projects, of which we would like to highlight the following:
1.- For more than 4 years URKIDE has been supporting the promotion of High Capacities.
2.- We have supported research and the design of different courses for teachers, all of which have been approved by the Basque Government.
THE COURSES HAVE BEEN:
2.1- HADA: Tools to support learning difficulties in the classroom (for primary and secondary).
2.2- Among equals, coexistence: Coexistence in the classroom.
2.3- PBL, project in the classroom: How to work through projects in the classroom (for pre-primary, primary and secondary).
2.4- RECREATE: Opening the classroom to creativity.
3.-Research over several years for the creation of a technological platform for personalised education through BIGDATA. (Also financed by the Basque Government)
4.- URKIDE Skill+: Creation of a technological tool for the optimisation of project-based learning.
5.- LECTIO: Creation of a technological platform to optimise comprehensive reading at secondary level.
In the last 3 years, the projects approved have been:
ACADEMIC YEAR 2019-20:
1.- “BERAKAH” TRAINING PROJECT, in collaboration and for the social group with which Berakah works, we proposed a basic training plan of 60 hours for 18 people, mainly women, from 7 September to 7 October 2020 and the result was very satisfactory.
2.- “MIRANDO ADELANTE” (LOOKING AHEAD) PROJECT, a project was designed for Baccalaureate and Higher-Level Training Cycle students to work on resilience through the personal story of Montxo López de Ipiña, an example of overcoming, an example of resilience.
3.- SECOND PART OF THE LECTIO PROJECT, the Basque Government financed a project for the creation of a technological platform to optimise integral reading and, after the pilot test carried out the previous year, it was adjusted and implemented in this second year. It has been running since then in the 2nd grade of Secondary Education.
ACADEMIC YEAR 2020-2021
1.- IMPLEMENTATION OF THE “MIRANDO ADELANTE” PROJECT: Following the design of the project, it was submitted to the Fundación Vital grants and was chosen as one of the projects of interest to work on in educational centres. It took part in 10 centres in Alava through 14 sessions. The success among the students was very significant.
2.- CREATING CONTENT TO WORK ON STUDY TECHNIQUES in 5th and 6th grade of Primary Education. From the AMPA of URKIDE there was an interest for the primary pupils to also work on study techniques, as a preparation to study in order to anticipate possible future difficulties. The content was developed and piloted in 5th and 6th grades of Primary School.

3.- ADAPTATION OF THE CREATIVITY COURSE FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL. An educational centre in the Basque Country requested specific training on Creativity for secondary schools. After its realisation, an online course was created for secondary school teachers, taking advantage of the online course we already had on this topic.
ACADEMIC YEAR 2021-2022
1.- EXTENSION OF STUDY TECHNIQUES FOR 4th, 5th and 6th GRADES OF PRIMARY EDUCATION. The AMPA requested an extension of the study techniques and to initiate them with students in the 4th year of Primary Education. The adaptation was prepared and it has already been taught in the last two school years.
2.- CREATION OF MATERIALS AND TEACHING OF SPANISH LANGUAGE TO UKRAINIAN STUDENTS. In March 2022, 6 children from Ukraine arrived at URKIDE and URKIDE Innovation was asked to prepare materials and teach them Spanish so that they could adapt more easily to their new reality. Two people worked with them until June.
3.- II EDITION OF THE “MIRANDO ADELANTE” PROJECT: After the success of the first edition, another request for help was presented to Fundación Vital and a second edition was financed. In addition to participating in educational centres for baccalaureate students, for which 12 sessions will be held, 5 sessions will also be held in business organisations where the target audience is adults.
4.- PREPARATION OF A NEW PROJECT ON “ENTZUGELA”. At the request of the Berakah programme, we were asked to design a project to create a listening space in the premises of Berakah (Vitoria-Gasteiz), with the aim of offering security, confidence and emotional well-being to vulnerable children from 8 to 16 years of age.
To this end, two psychologists were to be employed to work on two fronts:
1.- Intervention: diagnosis and treatment, from the clinical point of view and learning difficulties, and 2. – Prevention.
This project is currently awaiting funding.
ACADEMIC YEAR 2022-2023
1.- EXTENSION OF STUDY TECHNIQUES FOR 3RD, 4TH, 5TH AND 6TH YEAR OF PRIMARY EDUCATION.
The AMPA again requested the Study Techniques, but in a lower grade and from September to November, work was carried out in 12 classrooms, during 4 sessions, with the 3rd to 6th grades of Primary Education.
2.- HEDATZE STUDY SUPPORT PROGRAMME FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS. At the request of the school, URKIDE Innovation has been commissioned to set up and manage the HEDATZE project, study support for people who have failed a subject from the previous year or who need support.
3.- AGORA SÍ. AGORA SÍ wants to be a cultural platform alternative to the school, where students can “have a voice” through different artistic disciplines. It will be launched in the spring and will take place in the centre’s square-agora.
4.- ADVICE ON FAMILY RECONCILIATION
The Basque Government has created grants, within the KONTZILIA programme, for advice on the diagnosis and creation of an Action Plan on family, personal and work-life balance for business organisations. The company SPC, one of the Foundation’s trustees, will be advised in this area and will serve as a pilot project.
